Another 200 families of IDPs from Mariupol have been provided with social housing in Dnipro in a 10-storey dormitory building. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has taken over the arrangement of public areas.
"This is a large-scale project, more than 200 families will live here. Public areas will help people from different families to become a branch of the Mariupol community. We are also presenting a certificate to the city council for the arrangement of a playground: many children will live in the house," said Natalia Yemchenko, member of the Foundation's Supervisory Board.
Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has equipped the dormitory with lounges, coworking spaces, corridors and halls. In particular, it provided the premises with furniture, laptops and necessary household appliances - washing machines, stoves, refrigerators, etc. He also fully equipped the children's rooms. Children will play in the toy house with board games, puzzles, toys, as well as draw and read books from the mini-library.
"None of this would have been possible without our partners. Special thanks to Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, which has supported us from the very first days and continues to do so. Common rooms, common areas - this is their vision and equipment. Thank you," says Vadym Boyko, Mayor of Mariupol.
One of the residents, Anzhelika, says she evacuated from Mariupol in April 2022:
"It is a great happiness to have my own corner. I see what a great job has been done here. Many thanks to the Foundation, you are very supportive. I hope that sooner or later we will return to Mariupol. We miss it very much," says Anzhelika.
