One hundred long days ago, a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began. The fierce struggle against the enemy continues – our people bring victory closer every day. All this time, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been focusing its efforts and resources on helping the most vulnerable social categories and internally displaced persons.
During the hundred days of the war, the Foundation donated more than 600,000 units of medicines, more than 60,000 blood transfusion bags and over 187,000 food packages to Ukrainian people. In total, more than 1.1 million people received the charity in the form of humanitarian aid from the Foundation.
During this time, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s hotline received more than 26,500 calls.
An important part of the Foundation’s charity help is the psychological support of IDPs from the war zones. Emergency psychological assistance points for those evacuated from Mariupol and Volnovakha operate in Zaporizhzhia. Similar points also function in Lviv and Uzhhorod. Since 24 February 2022, more than 1,480 people have received the psychological support from the Foundation.
Since 2014, the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been collecting the world’s largest archive of stories of civilians who suffered from the Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Museum’s archive already contains more than 20,000 stories told first-hand.
It is noteworthy that since 24 February 2022, Rinat Akhmetov’s humanitarian aid has reached 2.5 million Ukrainians. More than 1.1 million of them were covered by the assistance provided by the Foundation, and the remaining number came from SCM businesses.
The assistance is provided in the framework of the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives.
