The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been providing its help and support to Ukrainians since the first days of the war, which the russian federation unleashed on our land almost nine years ago. The Foundation comes to the aid of those who need it most, paying special attention to the most vulnerable categories of citizens in the country.
At the beginning of the new year, the Foundation summed up the results of its support activities for the period from 2014 to 30 December 2022.
During this period, the Foundation provided:
— almost 13 million food assistance packages
— about 700,000 units of medicines for healthcare institutions
— almost 90,000 hygiene kits
— about 63,000 blood storage containers
— almost 24,000 medicine kits for civilians
— 750 heaters for places of temporary residence of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
In addition, during the same period:
— more than 63,000 people received psychological assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
— 47,000 people were evacuated and resettled
— 11,000 people received targeted assistance for medical treatment
— about 4,700 children took rest in the children’s camp within the framework of the project Peaceful Rest for Children of Ukraine
— 134 rehabilitation courses were delivered to children injured as a result of the military hostilities in Ukraine.
Notably, the collection of the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation received more than 57,000 stories during this time. This is the world’s largest archive of stories from Ukrainian civilians who suffered from the war.
The assistance is provided in the framework of the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives. Since 2014, the assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar Football Club has reached more than 18 million people.
