On the eve of the Russian invasion, Lidiia and her husband travelled from Enerhodar to Truskavets for treatment. Lidiia's husband worked for 19 years at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in the radiation zone. "We were supposed to leave, we had tickets for February 26, but the war broke out on the 24th," the woman says. "We hoped that the situation would stabilise quickly. We stayed in western Ukraine for a month and a half. My son and spouse stayed in the occupied city, [my husband] worked at the ZNPP until he was given an ultimatum: either sign a contract with Rosatom or go to the basement. He had to drop everything and leave.
