On April 15, volunteers Andriy Menchynsky and Olha Sergeeva were trapped under enemy artillery fire in the Berezovo area of Lysychansk in the Luhansk region. They brought targeted help to an elderly woman who died with Andriy during the shelling on the spot. Olha was sent to the intensive care unit, then transported to Dnipro.
"Andriy died immediately, and the best doctors of Dnipro were still fighting for the woman's life. Olha's heart stopped beating today. The couple volunteered from the first days of the war, they delivered humanitarian aid to the people in Lysychansk. Peaceful, kind, positive. We will remember them forever," – wrote Serhiy Haidai, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration. Olha Sergeeva died on April 23 in the Dnipro hospital.
