The "grab bag" was packed in advance, but Maryna and her boyfriend decided not to leave Kyiv. They waited out the air raid between two walls in the hallway with their neighbours. The girl remembers how she baked brownies for the men on duty near the house, and how even such a small detail gave her a sense of belonging to something important. Maryna actively participates in fundraising to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in whose ranks her uncle serves. She also dreams of the day when he and many friends who are currently in the army will return home.
