During the full-scale invasion, Eduard worked as a urologist at the Mariupol Regional Hospital. He provided care until March 7, 2022.
"The first days were very scary. The first wounded was a soldier. I remember how they brought a boy from a neighbouring house, then an 18-year-old girl from Cheremushky. A shell hit the house and she got a kidney injury. She stayed at home for about 8 hours because of the heavy shelling. When she was brought to the hospital, her kidney was removed. She survived," said Eduard, a resident of Mariupol.
