The war took everything from us. We lived in a village of Skhidnyi, near the city of Donetsk. They were left without houses, work, or money because of the war.
My husband, two children and I had to move in 2014 because of the attacks. Now we live in someone else's apartment. It was life-threatening to stay. Shells almost hit the threshold of the house.
Sometimes we come to check for new damage. Ruin is all around. We have no electricity, no water. Looters took out everything that the owners could not take with them.
We have no work or house offers in the village of Netailovo, where we currently live. However, we do appreciate some security. Maybe things will get better and we'll go back and rebuild the house. Your house feels like home. We live here temporarily.
The children go to school. My father is constantly away from home – looking for a place to earn money. Social benefits for immigrants have not been accrued. Surprisingly, our village of Skhidne has not been recognized as a war zone.
