My son Vladik's life was changed by a terrible tragedy - a head wound during the shelling of Avdiivka.
Nine-year-old Vladik was on life support for almost two weeks. His chances to survive were minimal. We lived in the moment. The doctors didn't know if he would survive. The fragment went through her head.
Vlad can't eat or dress himself yet. He must take timely medications to improve blood circulation and vision, as well as to restore his nervous system. He exercises his right hand every day. He wants it to be functional again. Even his friend at school told him, "This hand is way bigger than the other." He does constant exercises and trains using simulators.
However, he can't do his favourite thing yet – ballroom dancing. He took prize-winning places at competitions before the war. Now he took up a new hobby – football. He plays with friends round the back and is sure that he will recover and take up sports seriously.
