The houses of residents of a garden cooperative in the village of Moshchun were destroyed in March 2022.

The battle for the village near the capital became one of the fiercest battles during the defense of Kyiv. The confrontation lasted from February 27th to March 21th, 2022. The part of the village where the houses of the garden society were located suffered the most. The battles took place in the Irpin River floodplain and in the forest, where the defenders “met” the russian military.

The occupiers destroyed Oksana Harkusha’s house for fun. They desecrated the yard that the family had been cultivating for several years. At the time of the interview, more than two years had passed since those events. But mine clearance is still ongoing in Moshchun and its surroundings.
