Life in Lysychansk at the beginning of the full-scale invasion was a nightmare. There were no sirens, and people only knew when they heard an explosion. There were no shelters. There was a humanitarian catastrophe all around, with no communications, lack of water, food and medicine. But even in such conditions, Olena's family managed to survive. They left the city in April 2022 to nowhere. But, like true Ukrainians, they found work, set up their lives and continue to live.
