A month has passed since theĀ shell exploded. We can visit my son Kolia at the hospital. The doctors say that the worst part is over.
The son had both legs and an arm partially amputated. He also had a brain contusion and a wound to his left eye. On that day, four boys were blown up by an unknown shell. The youngest boy, Kolia's four-year-old brother, died on the spot. Kolia had one chance in a hundred to survive. First, he had a surgery in Volodarske, then in Zaporizhzhia. My son was in the intensive care unit for two weeks and had a dozen surgeries.
It's too early to talk about Kolia's recovery. He has an eye operation ahead of him. Dental implants and then prosthetic limbs are to be inserted. While Kolia is learning to live anew.
