In our village, dugouts and trenches are next to allotments and houses. We were told that the area there was mined – we don't go there. Nobody wants to get blown up. Although no one really knows safe places we can step on. It is not a village, but a polygon!
Most of our residents have left, and the houses have been abandoned. I can't leave – I have to take care of my wife Svitlana, who suffered a stroke. She can barely walk. Sometimes we see neighbours come to check whether their houses were damaged by shelling.
