I and my five children are forced internal refugees. We escaped from Avdiivka when staying in the basement became unbearable. We found a small apartment in Druzhkivka by accident. We were so shocked that we didn't even a desire to go out. I wanted to lock myself in and just wait out.
There was furniture or dishes in the apartment. Only one of the two rooms was habitable. So we all live in the same room. The neighbors who brought us everything we need in everyday life were very helpful.
My husband stayed in Avdiivka. He has a job there and, thus, looks after the apartment. We rarely see each other. My main support in a foreign city is the older daughter Ira.
