In 2022, when a great war began, Olena and her family found themselves at the epicentre of events. Just two days after the start of hostilities, her husband went to war as a volunteer. The family decided to move to Dnipro, and Olena's office was also moved here. The house in Kramatorsk was damaged by shelling, every day the woman feels deep concern for her hometown.

Olena talks about the importance of the support they received in Dnipro. "Hubs like our Kramatorsk diaspora are very good," she notes. Here, Olena and hundreds of migrants from the East receive all-round assistance. In times of need, the woman's family even lived in the hub for a whole month! Olena also mentions the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, which has been providing aid to the people of Donbas since 2014.
