The first weeks of the war were a real test for Volodymyr Bondarenko from Kyiv region. Volodymyr describes fear and uncertainty in the air, as russian soldiers constantly watched the village from the forest, trying to find weak spots in the Ukrainian army's defences. One day, a shell hit a neighbour's house. The neighbour barely managed to hide in the basement. Volodymyr and his son went outside to assess the situation. But the men were met by enemy sniper fire. Fortunately, the sniper missed!

After the deoccupation of the region, Volodymyr joined volunteer work. He found a way to be useful - he cuts materials for camouflage nets. The war left deep wounds in people's souls, and Volodymyr does not hide that it is difficult for him to think about the future. He dreams of peace, of the war ending and life returning to normal.
