Vitaly was the dean of the Kyiv Slavic Evangelical Theological Seminary. From the beginning of the war he was in Bucha, helping locals with food.
On March 5, the man left home with a friend to try to evacuate to Kyiv (according to others – just for food). The connection with him was lost.
According to locals, snipers were working on the street in those days, where the body of Vitaly and his friend was later found. He probably died at their hands. The bodies of the men lay on the road for almost a month.
"Vitalik was able to find a common language with everyone, he was able to agree and knew how to please. He was sincere and good-natured, trouble-free. He knew how to support and calm down. And he himself, it seemed, never panicked and almost never got tired", – remembers his acquaintance Olha Datska.
Rest on peace!
