When the war started, we had about ten people left in the village. All the children left, leaving only the elderly people. In our village there is no water supply, no shops, no pharmacies. To buy food and medicine, you need to walk 11 kilometers. Old people can't walk, and there's no transport.
It is also a long way to get drinking water. We put on our boots and go through swamps, reeds and steep hills. You can also meet wild animals, they are getting closer to the houses.
My aunt lives with me, she is an invalid, she has no a leg. We save drinking water, we collect rainwater and wash clothes in it, wash dishes, wash our faces.
But it is especially scary in winter. Even the ambulance doesn't come to us. Roads are covered with snow. So we don't live, we survive.
