Olena is from the city of Beryslav, Kherson region. She saw the occupation, the so-called referendum, floods, battles, shelling. And real hunger. Under shelling, it was extremely difficult to deliver products to the liberated Beryslav.

People were evacuated by volunteers at risk to their lives. They also came under fire and died from russian shells.

When Olena got to Brovary in 2023, she couldn't get enough of bread - that's how bad things were with food in her hometown.
