During the russian invasion, Nigerian linguist and teacher Viktoriia Osemene was in Kharkiv. "I studied and lived in Ukraine for 10 years. I teach English at school. Ukrainians have loved and supported me all these years. I survived russian aggression. It didn't just change me. It also showed my strength.

I have been and remain in Kharkiv. Ukraine is my home. I trust the AFU. I believe in Ukraine and its strength. I saw foreign students leaving. I stayed to show my love and support.

Kharkiv is a dangerous city. But this is my home. Where should I go? During an air strake my apartment was damaged. The glass broke. I was injured. I received help. The doctors took good care of me.

Ukrainian troops show their strength by looking the enemy in the face. I did not leave Kharkiv. Hero city. I believe in Ukraine’s victory," said Viktoriia, a resident of Kharkiv.
