Natalia Rumiantseva lost her father in Manhush, the village near Mariupol, in April 2022. Captain 1st rank, writer and journalist Yevhen Bal died after four days of tortures by rashist orks. The invaders broke into the writer's house on March 19. During the search, they found a photo with Ukrainian defenders, a membership card of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and other "evidence of fascism". They cruelly tormented the man for three days.
On March 19, they came for my father. It happened right after his heart attack. And they took him to Dokuchaievsk. They brought him back four days later. He was black.
"Dad, were you beaten?", - I asked. - He had a black face, broken ribs, and bruised kidneys. He didn't tell anything. When invaders came to his house he met them with a shotgun.
On April 2, my father's heart stopped. We buried him in uniform and with the flag. We paid our last respects as best we could", - said daughter Natalia.
