Alona is the wife of a serviceman. When her husband came to the defense of Mariupol, she stayed with their little daughter and sister. We lived in an apartment in Prymorsk district. We saw how houses burned and how the russian military destroyed the city.
"One day, we went down to the cellar. There were so many people there! My daughter does not sleep and does not eat. Then she fell asleep, and I couldn't wake her up. But the nurse said it was an energy-saving mode. The child was emotionally exhausted," says Alona, a resident of Mariupol.
The family could leave the city only at the end of March. We went to Melekino. There, the woman found out that her husband's leg was amputated, and he was in captivity.
