"20 Days in Mariupol": the doctors-heroes of the documentary film, that won the Oscar

The doctors in Mariupol worked night and day trying to save people under fire and bombing until the last possible moment. They operated even without water and electricity, sleeping in the corridor of the operating room... Several doctors became the heroes of the film "20 Days in Mariupol".

The film was shot during the blackest days in the city's history, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. It is won the Oscars in the Best Documentary category! Since independence, this is the first Ukrainian film by a Ukrainian director to receive such a nomination.

The stories of these doctors and their patients are in our collection.
