My grandson Bohdan lost his parents under fire when he was four. He lay under a destroyed apartment building for several hours.
The building collapsed, and the grandson was crushed by a concrete slab. This happened on 15 July 2014. Then the shells exploded in the center of the city. They began to clear the debris. First, they discovered people from the upper floors. They were all dead. Then a window opened, and everyone heard Bohdan's voice – he was conscious all the time. He was the only survivor of the entire apartment block. His mother died in the rubble.
There was nothing left of the apartment where Bohdan lived with his parents – my son and daughter-in-law. 11 people died that day.
My grandson became very ill on the second day, and his kidneys began to fail. He had a surgery. Doctors said that the places from the fractures will bother him for a long time.
