Nina, deputy director of the Ivan Kozlovskyi Museum and Estate, recalls how the first day of the war brought her fear and anxiety. The explosions started at six in the morning. She immediately realised that it was war, which meant danger for the museum, which housed a rich cultural heritage. Her main goal was to save every exhibit, because for her, these are not just things, but a part of history that cannot be lost. Despite the risk, Nina and her colleagues protected the exhibits by packing them in boxes, paper, and anything else they could find. Later, partners from Germany helped them by providing special materials to protect the valuables.
