Two years ago, when I was walking with my son on the playground, we saw something was going on. I didn't know what it was right away. The child started saying, "Bang upstairs."
We went home, and suddenly a column of earth rose up behind us. Clods flew in all directions. Shells covered the city, but I just didn't hear the sounds of approaching explosions. This was caused by a damaged hearing aid (I have been disabled since childhood).
Every five years, I received a new hearing aid under the state program. But now I have to go with a damaged one.
I am very worried about my children, because we live in the most dangerous area of the city. I react less to loud noises, and even if the projectiles fall nearby, I will not immediately react, because the sound reaches me more slowly.
I'm a single mother, and I can't afford to buy a new expensive hearing aid.
