Oleksandr lives in the village of Sadove in Kherson region. After the occupation, there is no light and water. On August 7th, 2023, he went for water to the well and at that moment, russia shelled the civilians – three hits of cluster shells. The man suffered shrapnel wounds and could not move on his own. An ambulance crew provided the necessary aid under fire and took him to the Kherson Regional Hospital, where he was operated on. Currently Oleksandr is limping and cannot walk properly. He underwent rehabilitation in a sanatorium as part of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation program.
