I was born during the Holodomor in 1933. When I was seven years old, the war broke out. When the war ended, we had to struggle with new challenges —famine and cold. However, our generation did manage to restore cities and villages. And now we have to live through this again. We have lived here for 80 years and got stuck in poverty.
Our village is situated on the outskirts of Dzerzhynsk (now Toretsk), right by the line of contact. We were constantly suffering from attacks for a whole year. About 370 houses have been destroyed here. And this is only the residential sector. 750 people were injured.
