I try to forget that terrible day on 10 February 2015, when my city of Kramatorsk was shelled. In recent months, hospital wards have become our second home.
When the shelling started, I was on my way to the hospital for a regular check-up. People started hiding in the hospital building, and I let them all go ahead. However, I didn't have time to stop by. A tiny fragment hit my back. But doctors found it in the thigh.
I didn't even notice that I was injured in all that confusion and panic. Then I saw that blood was pouring out of me. The fragment damaged my internal organs. The surgery lasted six hours. The doctors brought me back from the dead.
